"Karachi--Barber" unique printer's proof for a real photo postcard (good contrast & focus) that would eventually be entitled 'Karachi--Street Barber' (change noted on back), cropping lines on front to delimit the image ultimately shown, main image cut out & put on a grayish background to obscure unwanted clutter in the original shot. Obviously unique & exceptionally interesting. $15.00 pb
"Lahore. A Persian Wheel" unused black & white postcard with brown caption, undivided back, minor corner & edge wear, paper browning lightly & evenly with age. A Persian wheel is a device for extracting power from the passage of water; in this case, the water passes beneath the device. Many water mills work on this principle. Lahore was in India at the time, but is now in Pakistan. $10.00 ipw
ORIENT AIRWAYS, LIMITED. Unused black-and-white continental postcard depicting its Convair CV-240-7 in flight over mountainous terrain, from a Convair photo, near mint. On 14 March 1953 this aircraft crashed at Kalasahar India; all 16 aboard perished. Sold but still available for scholarly study & research as an enlarged (about 277% of original area) & enhanced 120-dpi scan in .jpg format. $1.75 aipd#
PAKISTAN INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES. Unused regular-size post card showing its Fokker F-27-200 Friendship at Karachi in November 1984, printed in Switzerland, slight curl to the paper, otherwise excellent condition. On August 25 1989 this airplane crashed at Gilgit / گلیت / گلگت / Pakistan; all 54 aboard perished. $12.00 apd
